Valentino Rossi opted for a change of design for his primary race helmet in 2011 – since 2008 Valentino Rossi had used the ‘5 Continents‘ as his primary helmet design.

The new design would become know as the ‘Elements’ design, and as the name suggests, the design was built around the 4 elements of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire.

The helmet was designed by Aldo Drudi, and a large sun is featured at the top and front of the helmet, with each of the sun’s rays (that flow towards the back of the helmet) containing a graphical representation of one of the elements.

The rear of the helmet features Rossi’s trademark moon motif, with a large number ’46′ in the center.

This is a colourful and striking helmet design that has become Rossi’s preferred race lid.
