This is the Minichamps AGV 1:2 Scale Helmet Valentino Rossi MotoGP Mugello from 2008.
This is probably Valentino Rossi’s most famous of all his helmet designs, especially for Mugello.
Valentino Rossi worked with Aldo Drudi to create a helmet design that had Vale’s screaming face on the top of the helmet, and it was made as a way to give fans a sense of what it felt like trying to brake a MotoGP bike after coming off the long Mugello straight.
It became an instant fan favorite.
Now Minichamps have created an exact replica of this helmet, which is often referred to as the ‘My Face’ helmet in a 1:2 scale size. It features all the graphics and logos that Valentino wore on his original helmet – including his face on the top of the helmet, his Sun and Moon logos, and his pet bulldog on the rear. A real collectors item made in strictly limited numbers.
Starting with the first picture, covering premaster approval and up to the finished model: the development of all Minichamp models is closely observed from Minichamp’s headquarters. Each model, no matter what the scale, is a highly detailed replica of the actual helmet where perfection is the goal. With historically correct paint and accurately replicated decals and markings, the Minichamps brand is something collectors look for and ask for.
